Editorial Policy

Carat Theory publishes diamond and jewellery education to help buyers make clearer decisions. We also sell jewellery, so our commercial point of view is disclosed rather than hidden.

Sourcing Standards

We separate first-party Carat Theory information from third-party market information. Product specifications, prices, materials, shipping, returns, warranty, and certification treatment should match the live product or policy source. External claims should be attributed to the relevant laboratory, regulator, retailer, or public source when the article depends on that claim.

First-Party And Third-Party Information

First-party information includes Carat Theory product data, public pricing, policy language, and our own editorial position. Third-party information includes laboratory documentation, competitor pricing, public standards, market observations, and external research. We do not present third-party conclusions as Carat Theory facts unless they have been checked.

Price-Study Methodology

When we publish price comparisons, we identify the compared product type, configuration, date or period checked, currency, and whether prices are first-party, competitor-listed, or market-survey estimates. Prices change and should be revalidated before major updates or advertising use.

Corrections And Updates

If a material error is found, we correct it in the article and update affected claims where practical. Articles that rely on pricing, policies, certification practice, or market behaviour should be reviewed periodically because those details can change.

Competitor Comparison Disclosure

Competitor comparisons are intended to help buyers understand tradeoffs, not to imply that one brand is universally best. We compare visible claims, listed prices, specifications, policies, and customer-facing disclosures where available.

Commercial Disclosure

Carat Theory sells lab-grown diamond jewellery. Articles may link to Carat Theory products, collections, or guides where they are relevant to the buyer decision. Those links are commercial, and recommendations should remain useful even when the reader chooses another retailer.
